Breakfast Club Co-ordinator

Are you passionate about supporting children and helping them start their school day in a positive, healthy, and nurturing environment? We are seeking a reliable, organised, and enthusiastic Breakfast Club Co-ordinator to lead and develop our school Breakfast Club.

About the Role

As our Breakfast Club Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for organising and running the school's Breakfast Club, ensuring children enjoy a healthy breakfast alongside engaging play and learning opportunities in a safe, caring, and welcoming environment.

Working closely with pupils, families, staff, and volunteers, you will help create a positive start to each school day while promoting children's wellbeing, social development, and healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Organise and supervise the daily operation of the Breakfast Club
  • Provide a healthy breakfast for attending pupils.
  • Create and lead engaging play, leisure, and learning activities.
  • Ensure the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of all children attending the club.
  • Maintain attendance records and undertake routine administration.
  • Order and purchase food, materials, and equipment, working within an agreed budget
  • Manage day-to-day cash transactions where required.
  • Administer first aid as appropriate.
  • Build positive relationships with parents and carers
  • Supervise Breakfast Club staff and volunteers as required.
  • Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

We are seeking someone who has:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and healthy eating.
  • An understanding of child development and children's needs.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, colleagues, and volunteers.
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Midday Supervisory Assistant

6 Hours per Week | Term Time Only | Grade G2 £4026.70

We are seeking a caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly school team.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference to children's lunchtime experience by helping to ensure they are safe, happy and well supported throughout the midday break.

About the Role

As a Midday Supervisory Assistant, you will be responsible for supervising pupils during the lunchtime period, both in the dining hall and around the school site. You will encourage positive behaviour, support children's wellbeing and help create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising children during lunch and throughout the midday break.
  • Monitoring pupils in dining areas, playgrounds, classrooms, corridors, cloakrooms and toilets as required.
  • Supporting the serving and distribution of meals and drinks.
  • Assisting with setting up and clearing dining areas where required.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and safe play.
  • Escorting children between areas of the school when necessary.
  • Helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming lunchtime environment.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Enjoys working with children.
  • Is patient, caring and approachable.
  • Has good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
  • Is reliable and committed to supporting children's wellbeing.
  • Has experience of interacting positively with children (desirable but not essential).

No formal qualifications are required, although previous experience working with children would be an advantage.
