Welcome to our class page, I hope everyone had a wonderful Summer!

I am so excited for the year ahead. This half term our topics are All About Me in EYFS and Superheroes in Y1/2, we will be using these topics as the basis for lots of our learning. Please see the overview documents attached to this page to see what we will be learning in each curriculum area.

Homework – New homework and reading books are collected in each Monday and handed out on a Tuesday. Our homework expectations are to read 4x a week, complete weekly phonics homework, access Numbots (EYFS/Y1) or Timestable Rockstars (Year 2) for 10 minutes per week and complete 4 activities from the homework grid per half term.

Reading – We continue to promote a love of reading within our school and by doing this hope it will open many doors for your children throughout their school journey and beyond. The children will have a daily phonics session as well as enjoy stories times throughout the day in our class. Each week, the children will come home with 3 reading books, one phonics book that they have read the week before in school, another phonics book that is unseen and a ‘reading for pleasure’ book, this is a sharing story and not one that the children are expected to read but one to share and enjoy with someone at home. Please remember to sign your child’s reading journal every time they read!

Our class PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Little Movers-

Below is the link to the Little mover’s videos ready for your PE commencing Wednesday 27th January. The videos are filled with activities that the children can work on while at home or in school and they can be easier paused in between activities.  There are three videos to start with but more are to follow.
