Welcome back. I hope you have had a lovely Christmas Holidays. Happy New Year!
This term’s topic is ‘Jurassic World’.
We will be learning about dinosaurs and their habitats. Please see the attachment below to see what fun and exciting things we will be doing this term.
Supporting your child at home:
Reading – The children will have 2 reading books. One of them will be linked to the phonics graphemes they have been learning during that week. The other book will be from their colour banded books in the school reading scheme. We encourage the children to choose their own books to enhance their interests and develop their love for reading.
Reading stories with your child, practising writing their names. Practising formation of letters, counting activities and number recognition.
As mentioned at the welcome meeting can parents please ensure children have waterproofs, wellies and spare clothes as we will be doing lots of outdoor learning this year.
Keep checking your Tapestry account for updates and enjoy finding out about the fun and exciting activities your children have been doing at school.
