Year 3/4 Teacher

We are looking to appoint a full time teacher for our year 3/4 class. 

This position is suitable for experienced teachers or NQT’s who have a real passion for teaching Year 3&4.  We are looking for an excellent practitioner who:

  • has a sound knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
  • is positive and enthusiastic;
  • has high expectations and is reflective about their teaching;

Administrator Assistant

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative administrator to join our hardworking, professional and supportive team. 

As an administrator, you will be the first point of contact for parents and visitors.  Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks are essential.

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • has a flexible approach to daily tasks and is able to work on their own initiative
  • has proven work experience as an Administrator/Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • has great communication skills both written and verbally, with strong customer service skills
  • can multitask and work calmly and accurately under pressure, in order to meet deadlines.
  • is a team player with a good sense of humour
  • has good ICT, numeracy and literacy skills
  • is confident in the use of Excel, Word, email, database programs and pupil record systems.
  • has experience of managing monies

Finance Manager

The Governors are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative finance manager to join our hardworking, professional and supportive team. 

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Is an experienced, highly motivated, committed School Finance Manager with high standards of personal integrity
  • Is an individual who can contribute effectively to strategic planning and ensure that the school promotes best value
  • Has a commitment to the highest standards of work and compliance
  • Has an ability to work positively and contribute effectively within the team to improve pupil outcomes
  • Can lead the school in its budget planning and monitoring, prepare reports and financial returns, oversee the monthly payroll and VAT submissions and control the school’s funds using our financial management system
  • Can be responsible, alongside the Headteacher, for the Finance
  • Can work with key staff to identify and submit bids for additional income and investment into the school

1:1 TA Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative teaching assistant to join our hardworking, professional and supportive team. 

This position is suitable for experienced teaching assistants or newly qualified who have a real passion for supporting and accelerating the process of the children. The post is for 20 hrs a week working to support the needs of a KS1 pupil.

We are looking for an excellent practitioner who:

Sports Apprentice

We currently are looking to appoint a Sports Apprentice to commence September 2019.

Job Type: PE and School Sport Apprenticeship

Length of contract: 12 months

Great Ponton Primary School, in conjunction with Inspire+, is now advertising for a PE and School Sport apprentice from September 2019 on 12 month contract.

The successful applicant will work in a school 4 days a week and will have one day a week of high quality tuition and practical training with Inspire+ at a localised training venue.

  • This is a 40 hour per week contract, including college time, 52 weeks of the year.
  • You will be expected to work term time only.
  • In school you would be tasked with supporting and leading PE lessons, lunch and playtime activities, clubs and events to raise the profile of PE and school sport in schools.
  • You will be expected to keep club registers, write letters for tournaments and upload images to the school website.
  • We will offer you mentor support in your school, excellent training opportunities and additional sports qualifications. Our Inspire+ team will support throughout the year.
  • The post is subject to safeguarding checks, including an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
