Wow, how have we got to the final term of this academic year.  We have a busy Summer term with lots of exciting learning opportunities for the children to take part in.

This term our theme is ‘Exploration and Discovery’.

In Geography we will be focusing on ‘Plants of the World’ and ‘Settlements’.

In History we will be looking at Entertainment in the 20^th century.

In English we are working with different texts which include ‘Shackleton’s Journey’, ‘Jabberwocky’ and ‘The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe’.

During our Maths lessons we will be focusing on Number and Place Value, The 4 calculations, Fractions, Geometry, Time and Statistics.

We are working hard on our times tables, please remember to use our TTRS to help us with our times tables practise. 

This term we will be completing our Multiplication Check

In RE we will be exploring themes of Pilgrimage and The Gospel.

Our unit of work this term in Science is all about ‘The Circle of Life’.  Followed next half term by ‘Electricity’.

We are continuing to encourage and promote our love of reading, giving the children opportunities to read throughout the day and we will have our reading for pleasure session each day.

PE Days this term is Wednesday and Thursday.  We will be working on Tennis, Gymnastics, Yoga and Athletics.

Homework Day is on Tuesday and to be returned on a Monday.
