Great Ponton
Primary School

Years 1 & 2

Well done Year 1 and 2 you have made an amazing start to this year in very different circumstances.  The children have adapted well to our ‘new normal’ in school.

This term our topic is ‘Land of Nature.  We will be looking at our world and how it is made, and finding out lots of things about the world around us.  See our Topic web to find out about all the exciting things we will be learning during this term.

PE will be on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.

Reading this term will be continuing to use the Oxford Owl Website.  The children have adapted well to this and are still enjoying their reading.

Class Dojo is now up and running in school and the children are working hard to achieve their Dojo points.  Homework will be sent out on a Friday weekly via Class Dojo and any message to parents will be using Class Dojo.  We love to share our learning we are doing in the classroom so keep an eye out for those on Class Dojo.

Make sure the children have wet weather clothes and welly boots in school to allow the children to access our full outdoor area during playtimes and when we have our outdoor learning.

There are lots of websites available for you to use with your children to help support their learning.  Have fun exploring!
